Today is second day of study, our class had James he is founder of KIND Studio https://kindstudio.co.uk/ which is working about branding and many more visual design. Today’s topic is Brand Personality, James showed us some of his work that out of some visual things such as colors, smell, sounds, experiences actually it could be anything that impact your emotion, that’s what brand could tricker man’s emotion to get involve.
one of his work that amazed me which is the animation that processed by hand, and every single frames came from photos that printed out from receipt paper. I love texture and noise texture that happens when you print from a receipt machine, furthermore a craft feeling that reflected from analog-animation process.
let’s jump to the BRIEF! : today James want us to create brand personality of product or brand which generated from geometric shape + keyword. I grouped with 4 people, which is Golf, 1 Chinese girl and 2 Indian girl. We got Triangle + Caring ( these 2 words are so contrast so it quite challenging us) .. WE CAME WITH MANY OF IDEAS AND CONCEPT, while time was running out and finally we did “GUMMIES BEAR” which is contain a concept of Playful, Share, Playful & Gentle. we try to fixed yesterday’s problems and executed many of works in both physical and online visual. everything went well, we’ve got presentation, physical mood board, mock up of Gummies and also ambient songs!

NOTES!
- Every team did well today! I like they way they delivered experiences and created new form of media and entertianing, (especially “The Witches” and “pillow talk” group) we tried to get out of our comfort zone and have fun!
- We laughed together, this thing made us closer!
- Paul said : I love when every laugh, it mean you guys have “emotion engage”, and This is a important thing that brand should do and deliver to their custumers.
- Engage at this moment, make them feel something, make them want to know more, make a connection, make emotional engagement!
- BRAND isn’t just a logo
